From certificate to livelihood
The Training & Placement Cell exists to make sure a trainee does not finish the course and then stop. Its work begins in the final semester and continues after the trainee has passed out.
Campus recruitment
Employers are invited to conduct recruitment drives at the institute. Trainees are briefed and prepared before each drive.
Apprenticeship registration
Every passing-out trainee is helped to register on the Apprenticeship India portal and to apply to establishments engaging apprentices.
Interview preparation
Resume writing, interview practice and workplace conduct, delivered through the Employability Skills component and dedicated sessions.
Self-employment guidance
Guidance on PM Vishwakarma, PMEGP, MUDRA and other schemes for trainees who want to set up their own workshop, service centre or tailoring unit.
Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961
Apprenticeship is the most reliable next step after an ITI course, and it is a statutory scheme, not a favour. An ITI pass-out engaged as an apprentice receives structured on-the-job training in an establishment and a monthly stipend at the rate prescribed under the Act, part of which is reimbursed to the employer under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.
- Register on the Apprenticeship India portal with your NTC details.
- Apply to establishments advertising vacancies in your trade; the Placement Cell will help you shortlist.
- On engagement, a contract of apprenticeship is registered and the stipend is paid directly to your bank account.
- On completion, you receive a Proficiency Certificate — and, in many establishments, first consideration for a regular vacancy.

Placement record
[VERIFY] Year-wise placement figures — trainees passed out, trainees placed, apprentices engaged and recruiting establishments — should be published here from the institute’s own records. Publish only figures the institute can substantiate; the DGT ITI Grading Framework and any inspection will ask for the underlying register.
