What you will learn
- Computer fundamentals, operating systems and file management
- Word processing, spreadsheets and presentations (office automation)
- Database concepts and SQL, plus accounting package basics
- HTML/CSS and web page publishing fundamentals
- Programming logic with a scripting language, networking basics, cyber safety and e-governance services

Course structure
The syllabus for this trade is notified by the Directorate General of Training and is common across all NCVT-affiliated ITIs in India. Contact hours are divided between:

| Engineering Drawing | Reading and producing the drawings the trade works from (two-year trades). |
| Employability Skills | Communication, IT literacy, entrepreneurship, labour welfare and workplace conduct — common to all trades. |
| On-the-job training / project | Industry exposure and a trade project as prescribed in the current syllabus. |
